This is a short film about the translator’s art and the role it plays in our rapidly shrinking world. Translation breaks down barriers and translators build bridges between cultures.

The film features interviews with past winners, as well as translators, authors and dignitaries associated with the award. The classically lit and framed interviews are intercut with simple but beautiful photographic images drawn from traditional Islamic imagery, to highlight the emphasis Islamic culture has always placed on the importance of translation.
