The film follows life in one of Saudi Arabia’s busiest fire stations during summer – one of the busiest times of year.
With daily temperatures in excess of 50 degrees Celsius, this is one of the hardest environments in which a fire fighter can work.
OR Media was granted unprecedented access to film behind the scenes with the men of Washm Station.
Using thermal imaging cameras, the Red camera, and a range of smaller cameras, the film crew accompanied the firemen right into the heart of the fires.
The film conveys the intensity of the experience and the danger that the fire fighters face every day.
In particular, this film reveals the camaraderie that is forged in these harsh conditions.
The filming was led by internationally acclaimed director Tom Roberts, one of the leading documentary makers of his generation.
He has won more than 35 personal international awards and nominations for his directing, including an Emmy and a Bafta.
